Primary Health Care Advisory Council - disestablished end 2009

The Primary Health Care Advisory Council (PHCAC) was disestablished at the end of 2009. It was originally set up in 2008 to replace the PHO Task Force. Under the Terms of Reference the PHCAC was charged with “generating and providing timely and quality high-level advice to the Ministry of Health and DHBs”.  Members of the Council represented a wide cross section of the primary health sector and were mandated by their constituent bodies. The Council met 11-12 times per year in Wellington.

The PHO Alliance’s representative on the Council was Hamish Kynoch, Chair of the PHO Alliance and Chair of Hawke’s Bay PHO.
