National Health Board (NHB)
The National Health Board (NHB) sits within the Ministry of Health and was established in October 2009 to oversee how DHBs plan and fund health services. It is responsible for supervising funding on health IT, workforce planning and capital investment and will also take national responsibility for vulnerable health services. The Chair of the NHB is Murray Horn and the Chief Executive is Chai Chuah.
The Terms of Reference set out the objectives and other administrative details as agreed by Cabinet.
